This project was a new house, located by the architects, in the middle of a wooded 4.5 acre property in the Town of Goshen, New York. A clearing was created around the house to provide light and create outdoor spaces, preserving the few significant trees that existed. Walks and patios were designed and installed. Plantings to provide color throughout the growing season were designed.

In 1989, Karen was hired to prepare a landscape master plan for a home they purchased to renovate. KALA worked with the client and their architects, creating outdoor spaces to flow from rooms within the home and to create stunning views both of the home and from within the home.
